As a practicing Massage Therapist for over 25 years, I have learned many things from the variety of conditions I have treated (eg. repetitive strain, herniated disc, sprains, fibromyalgia, sciatica, prenatal and postnatal massage, etc.). The most important skill I have learned is how to listen. Listening to the needs of my clients has led to a decrease in the time it takes to get to the root of the problem. At the same time, it has put my clients in charge of their health.
I have an in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology and have taught anatomy classes to Pilates and Alexander Technique teachers-in-training.
Over the years I have studied many different movement forms: dance, music, martial arts and a variety of sports. Each discipline has given me insight into how the body behaves in activity, especially when movements are repeated. This allows me to quickly locate the muscles involved in dysfunction and then effectively treat them.

Sonja Carr Reiki, BodyTalk
I began learning Reiki in 2002 and completed the Master Level in October of 2004. I am continually learning more about Reiki and have found the best teachers to be my practice and the people I meet through that practice. Even after more than ten years, I can still learn something new with every session and my capacity for compassion and understanding expands with every treatment.
In 2013 I became a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner. I am continuing my studies in BodyTalk and have found that combining BodyTalk and Reiki together in a session can result in profound healing. Clients often get deeper results with fewer sessions.
